It's not our job to poo poo on anybody's good time, and we aren't into telling people what they can and can not do.  But here are some good guide lines to follow using your truck tent.

1.  Don't drive down the road with the tent set up on back.  It's not a camper shell.

2.  Don't sleep in the tent with the truck running.  You shouldn't be in your tent with the truck running.  If it's cold bring a good quality sleeping bag.

3.  Don't smoke or use any flame appliance inside your truck tent.   Many truck tents have the cab access sleeve.  If you have a rear slider window, use this sleeve for electrical wires to run stuff from your cigarette lighter.

4.  Use battery or electric lights inside the tent.

5.  Watch where you set up your tent relative to wind and your campfire.  You don't want sparks to put holes in the tent and you don't want to breath campfire smoke all night either.

6.  Don't fold it up and put it away wet.

7.  Show people how to set it up and how cool it looks on your truck after drinking six beers.

8.  Camp out in downtown Detroit.

9.  Set up and sleep on the side of an Interstate Highway.
