There are some things to consider before you buy a truck tent.  Some accessories may prevent you from being able to install a truck tent on your vehicle.

Here is a short list of trucks that no one makes a tent for:

Chevy S-10 Stepside;
GM Sonoma Step Side;
Ford Explorer, Sport Track; Ranger XL, XLT, Splash Step Side; Ford 150 Supercrew;
Toyota Tacoma Double Cab;
Dodge Ram Quad Cab 2000 & older models
Nissan Frontier Crew Cab.

1.  Some truck beds are just too small.  Generally if your truck bed (tailgate up) isn't at least 5 feet long, forget it.  By the way all manufactures use truck bed measurements of the bed only.  Don't measure the tailgate.  I know it's confusing since many truck tents go out over the tailgate, BUT when measuring your truck, measure the bed only, not the tailgate.
2.  Tonneau covers.  Tents need access to the tops of the sides of the bed to set up, generally hard tonneau covers prevent installation.
3.  Tool boxes.  SOME tool boxes go over the top edges of the bed, this is no good.  Some tool boxes in trucks with 8' beds can use a 6.5 truck tent and work, some not.
4.  Most roll bars prevent truck tent installation.
5.  Odd sized truck bed.  Some Super Duty trucks have slightly odd sized beds.  A little deeper, longer what ever.  If you aren't sure call the sales organization and they should be able to help you determine if they have a tent for your truck.

ACCESSORIES THAT ARE NOT PROBLEMS:

1.  Bed liners usually won't cause a problem.
2.  Side rails won't cause a problem.
