Basically all truck tents set up in a similar manor.  There are a few considerations and differences.  If you have a truck tent with a sewn in floor, you have to unload everything from your truck before you set up the tent.  Truck tents without floors, you can set them up and leave your gear in the truck.  Some manufacturers recommend the front of your truck face the wind, this helps to keep the rain out, but other truck tents seem to be tight enough that this doesn't matter.

The other big differences are poles.  Some are color coded and others not.  Some use basic poles on the out side of the tent and some truck tents require you to crawl inside to install poles there too.

1.  You start out by laying out the truck tent in the bed of your truck.  Put the tailgate down.  Generally there is a pocket or straps that need to be attached to the tailgate. setting up a truck tent
2.  Next you put the poles in the pole sleeves. truck tent installation
3.  Hook the straps to the truck body.  Some truck tents have interior straps that hook to cargo cleats, others have straps that hook to the top edge of the sides. truck tent directions

5.  Adjust the inner straps.  Color coded straps help when you lay out the tent front & back.
6.  You can install the rain fly depending on the weather.  Simply pull it over the tent and snap the buckles in place.  You can use the front cab sleeve to help align the rain fly.
7.  Set your gear up inside.  This model has a sky view vent which allows more light and a better night's sleep. truck tent sky view vent
8.  Now you're ready to camp!
